Paolo Maldini

Paolo Cesare Maldini (born 26 June 1968) is a former Italian professional footballer who played as a left back orcentral defender for A.C. Milan and Italy national team. He spent all 25 seasons of his career in the Serie A with Milan, before retiring at the age of 41 in 2009. He won 26 trophies with Milan: the Champions League five times, seven Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia, five Supercoppa Italiana titles, five European Super Cups, two Intercontinental Cups, and oneFIFA Club World Cup.[2]




























Maldini has been married to Venezuelan former model Adriana Fossa since 1994.[95][96] The couple have two sons, Christian (born 14 June 1996) and Daniel (born 12 October 2001),[97] who both have already been signed by Maldini's former club Milan and currently play in the youth teams.[98][99] His father, Cesare, was also a footballer who, like his son, played as a defender, captained Milan at club level, and represented the Italian national team, later going on to become a coach; throughout his managerial career, he coached his son both with the Italian U-21 side and the Italian senior side, as well as with Milan at club level, also managing several other teams.[100] On 3 April 2016, Paolo's father Cesare passed away at the age of 84.
